Powder Industrial Painter

Powder Industrial Painter Wage: 1st $17.50/hour, 2nd $18.50/hour

Shift: 1st or 2nd

Hours:

6:00am-4:30pm or 2pm-midnight (TBD), Monday-Friday + Saturday OTQPS Employment Group is hiring a Powder Industrial Painter for a company in Allison, IA. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st or 2nd shift.

Powder Industrial Painter Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Measure and mix paints using measurement equipment such as viscosity cups, thickness gauges, and gloss gauges
- Use knowledge of paint chemistry to ensure correct formulation and consistency for each job
- Apply paint using appropriate tools and techniques, including spray equipment, rollers, and brushes
- Work with primers, pre-finishes, and finishing coats to achieve the desired surface quality
- Use specialized protective equipment, such as self-contained suits, as required for hazardous materials
- Safely clean and maintain work areas after painting operations
- Follow all guidelines for handling and disposing of hazardous chemicals and waste
- Maintain compliance with company and regulatory safety standards

Powder Industrial Painter Requirements:

- Knowledge of paint chemistry and industrial coatings
- Experience using spray equipment, rollers, and brushes
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety guidelines
- Attention to detail and quality-conscious approach
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
- Use hands and arms to handle paint equipment and tools frequently
- Perform repetitive motions such as spraying, rolling, or brushing
- Lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds as needed
- Work in various positions, including stooping, bending, and reaching
- Must be able to wear and work in personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periodsIND
