Team Leader, Manufacturing ​/ Production

Hormel Foods Corporation is seeking a Team Leader for our Algona manufacturing facility. This role leads a production team to safely meet daily output, quality, and food safety standards. The Team Leader schedules and assigns work, monitors line performance, and troubleshoots issues to minimize downtime. Responsibilities include training and coaching employees, enforcing safety and GMP procedures, reviewing production data, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing or food processing experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a production team to meet safety, quality, and output goals
• Schedule, assign, and monitor daily production work on the line
• Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, and company safety standards
• Train, coach, and develop team members for performance and growth
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to reduce downtime
• Review production data and metrics to drive performance improvements
• Communicate shift updates, issues, and priorities to management
• Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and logistics teams as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work area
