Position Details

Packer
Wage: $14.70 per hour
Shift: 1st
Hours:
6:00am-4:00pm (Mon-Thurs)
Join a dynamic team as a Packer in the Paper/Pulp/Printing industry, where you'll be integral to ensuring packaging efficiency and quality. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail and safety. This company provides imaging, printing, distribution and warehousing capabilities supported by 55,000 sq. ft. of racked finished good storage capacity.
Responsibilities- Count and verify the correct number of products per bundle for each order.
- Operate shrink wrap machines to secure products.
- Conduct quality inspections of poly-wrapped bundles.
- Build boxes and pack bundles into boxes in an organized manner.
- Run full boxes through automatic taping machines.
- Review daily job plans to understand product specifications, destination, and production targets.
- Proven work history with several years of solid experience, detailed on a comprehensive resume.
- Accurate math and reading comprehension skills.
- Punctuality and attendance are critical, with a strict 3-strike policy.
- Team-oriented with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. repetitively throughout an 8- to 12-hour shift.
- Repetitive reaching, bending, lifting, and hand/wrist/shoulder motions.
- Prolonged standing during entire shifts.
