Position: Assembly Specialist Location: Algona, IA Job : 186 # of Openings:1 Job Title: Assembly Specialist Division:PFI F
LSA: Non-Exempt Job Status: Full Time Reports To: Production Supervisor

PURPOSE OF POSITION Assemble equipment as required per engineering drawings and QC specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • The ability to mechanically assemble and test complex machinery with hand and power tools.
  • Fabricate small components as required.
  • Basic motor wiring knowledge.
  • The safe use of various equipment. I.E. Hydraulic bushing presses, drill presses, band saws, spot welders, grinders, hand tools, etc.
  • Use and understand various paperwork, including schedules, bar code system for tracking projects, blueprints and tech standards.
  • Forklift operation.
  • Overhead hoist and/or crane operation and safety.
  • Perform routine housekeeping and maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Regular, consistent attendance.

EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS

  • High school diploma or a general education degree (GED); or
  • Three to five years related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

TRAINING – CERTIFICATIONS – LICENSES

  • Welding certificate preferred but not required.
  • Continually participate in additional training related to the job.
