Supervisor of Kitting

POSITION SUMMARY

The Supervisor of Kitting is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of kitting operations within the warehouse. This role leads a team of kitting operators to ensure that kits are assembled accurately, efficiently, and according to customer and production specifications. The Supervisor of Kitting plays a key role in maintaining quality standards, meeting deadlines, and supporting a safe and productive work environment.

Starting at $70,000

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include education, skills, work experience and certifications. You may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive bonus. An incentive bonus, if any, depends on various factors such as organizational performance.

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of kitting operators to ensure timely and accurate kit assembly.
• Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure work orders are completed according to established standards and deadlines.
• Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with the Manager of kitting to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
• Maintain accurate records of daily output, labor hours, errors, and inventory.
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure kitted parts meet customer and order specifications.
• Communicate effectively with inventory control, shipping, and production teams to support order flow and resolve issues.
• Train new team members on kitting processes, safety protocols, and warehouse standards.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment, inventory discrepancies, or production delays as needed.
• Support cycle counts and other inventory management tasks as directed.
• Communicate effectively with leadership, escalating issues as needed and participating in team huddles or planning meetings.
• Promote a positive team culture focused on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in warehouse, kitting, or manufacturing operations; fastener industry experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the shift.
• Prior leadership or lead experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with kitting procedures and inventory systems.
• Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially under time constraints or when resolving inventory or production problems.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to manage multiple people, handle confidential information, manage projects relating to the operation, and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lead by example and support a productive team culture.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic warehouse management systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
