Laser Utility​/Door Assembly

Job Summary

The Laser Unloader / Utility Operator is responsible for safely unloading cut parts from laser cutting machines, sorting and staging materials, performing quality checks, and supporting overall production operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining production flow by ensuring parts are properly identified, handled, and delivered to the next operation while assisting in various utility tasks throughout the department.

• Remove finished parts and skeletons from laser cutting tables safely and efficiently.
• Sort, count, and stage parts according to work orders and production requirements.
• Inspect parts for quality issues such as incorrect dimensions, burrs, dross, scratches, or damage.
• Complete required production paperwork and maintain accurate part counts.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, hoists, and other material handling equipment as required.
• Deliver material and completed parts to designated work centers.
• Assist laser operators with loading, unloading, and setup activities.
• Remove scrap materials and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Support production needs in other departments as assigned.
• Door assembly.
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.
• Communicate production issues, material shortages, or quality concerns to supervisors and team members.
• Assist with packaging and preparing orders for shipping when needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read work instructions, labels, and production documents.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to become certified).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, twist, and perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
