POSITION SUMMARY:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for a variety of tasks and services to assist in the provision of care and comfort for patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The CNA will report and record observations and contribute to the efficient functionality of the department.

ANTICIPATED

SCHEDULE:

32-40 hours weekly,

Shift: 2:00pm to 10:00pm, every other weekend/holiday

* Required:

Completion of accredited Nursing Assistant program

* Required:

Must be 16 years of age

License/Registration/Certification:

* Required:

Active Nursing Assistant certification within state of Iowa

* Required:

Must have or obtain active BLS within orientation period

Experience:

* Preferred:
Prior CNA experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required.

* Ability to operate a personal computer with a general understanding of application software, and an understanding of the Internet.

* Ability to learn office and organization-specific software.

* Ability to adapt to flexible patient schedules and frequent interruptions.

* Demonstrates effective communication skills, and problem solving abilities
