Nurse Practitioner – Opioid Use Disorder Treatment
Boulder Care is hiring experienced Nurse Practitioners who align with harm reduction principles. In this fully remote, full‑time position, clinicians work directly with patients to provide medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD). Clinicians initiate and manage buprenorphine treatment independently within a structured, team‑supported care model.
Responsibilities- Deliver medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) in a fully remote outpatient setting.
- Initiate and manage buprenorphine treatment independently as part of daily practice.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and peer recovery professionals to support patient recovery.
- Maintain HIPAA‑compliant workspace and documentation.
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of residence (states accepting: AK, AZ, CO, FL, , IL, KS, MA, MD, MN, NC, NH, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, VA, WA, WY).
- 6 months of experience in an independent outpatient setting prescribing buprenorphine‑based medication.
- Independent practice authority in the state, or license permitting practice without physician supervision (Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Virginia).
- Ability to work autonomously and provide patient‑centered care.
- Private HIPAA‑compliant workspace.
- Full‑time: 30–40 hours per week (Monday‑Friday schedules).
- Shift options: 3×10, 4×8, 4×10, or 5×8.
- Paid break allotments: 8+ hour shift – 30‑minute and 10‑minute breaks (40 minutes total);
10+ hour shift – 30‑minute and two 10‑minute breaks (50 minutes total).
- Salary: $125,000–$140,000 (up to $145,000 in select markets) for 1.0 FTE.

Salary varies by experience and equity. - Hourly rate: approximately $60–$67.31 (up to $69.71 in select markets).
- Pro‑rated compensation for part‑time FTEs (0.8 & 0.75).
- Advanced certification pay differentials: +2% for PMHNP; +1% for CARN‑AP.
- W2 employment with health, dental, and vision coverage. Boulder covers up to 100% of individual premiums; 60% for dependents.
- Vacation: 4 weeks per year (5 weeks after 2 years). 9 paid holidays.
- 12 weeks fully paid parental leave after 6 months.
Sick leave accrues at 1 hour per 30 paid hours. - State licensure, DEA registration, renewals, malpractice insurance, and credentialing are fully covered.
- Equipment: laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse provided.
- Mental health support via Talkspace.
- Start dates targeted throughout 2026.
