About Mitchell County Regional Health Center
Mitchell County Regional Health Center is located in Osage, Iowa, serving a population of 10,600. MCRHC is a 25‑bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,200 visits annually. The Surgical Services department performs over 1,300 procedures annually, including specialties General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain management, and Podiatry.
About the JobThe registered staff Same Day Surgical nurse accepts responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process. The registered nurse directs and guides patient care, teaches ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards. The registered nurse establishes competency in caring for patients requiring surgical intervention of any specialty. The MCRHC Professional Nursing Practice Plan Policies and Procedures and AORN Standards of Care and Practice guide the registered nurse’s practice.
The registered nurse also accepts responsibility and accountability for the delivery of care for the Recovery Room patient through the nursing process. Care for all types of patients in Recovery Room with particular attention to the complex patient population, while maintaining professional nursing standards.
.9 FTE. 72 hours per pay period.
PayStarts for ADN, 31.54 for BSN. Both increase with experience.
Education and Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited training program for registered Professional Nurses and current registration in the state of Iowa.
- Experience working in Pre‑Op/Post‑Op and Recovery preferred.
- BLS required. ACLS & PALS required within 90 days of hire.
