Overview
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Specialty: CRNA/Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Hospital Site:
Northeast Medical Group, New London, CT.
Work Schedule:
Day / Evening (40 scheduled hours). Position Type: FTE, EMR System: EPIC. This role supports Yale New Haven Health System Vision, Mission and Values, ensuring integrity, patient‑centered care, respect, accountability and compassion guide all professional conduct.
- Implement accurate, safe, patient‑centric anesthetic care.
- Understand physiologic implications and anesthetic considerations of surgical procedures.
- Continuously monitor vital signs, capnography and pulse oximetry during anesthesia in accordance with ASA guidelines.
- Ensure appropriate documentation within hospital and regulatory requirements and protect all information from unauthorized access, modification, destruction or disclosure.
- Demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion and commitment to patient care.
- Engage in projects that maintain and advance professional competency.
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – completed a Certified Nurse Anesthetist Training Program.
- Graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AACN) Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs.
- Preferred clinical working experience as a CRNA within the given specialty/service line, though not required.
- APRNs, PAs, CRNAs and CNMs must be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS hospital and credentialed through the Medical Staff process.
- CRNAs must be able to stand for long periods, wear lead as needed for fluoroscopy or X‑Ray cases, lift 25 pounds, reach above and below shoulder height, negotiate patient‑care environments, and move self or patients between anesthesia locations.
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist AANA Certification.
- State of CT RN and APRN License.
- ACLS, DEA Registration and State of CT Controlled Substance Registration.
