Position Overview

Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Location: New London, CT

Position Type: Full Time (FTE)

Schedule: Day / Evening; 40 hours/week

Site: Northeast Medical Group

EMR System: EPIC

Compensation: Competitive salary with $60,000 sign‑on bonus (included).

Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate, safe, patient‑centric anesthetic care.
  • Apply physiologic knowledge and anesthetic considerations for surgical procedures.
  • Continuously monitor vital signs, capnography, and pulse‑oximetry during anesthesia in accordance with ASA guidelines.
  • Document anesthesia care in compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements.
  • Protect patient information from unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure.
  • Demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care.
  • Engage in professional competency projects to maintain and advance skills.
Qualifications
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, completion of an accredited CRNA training program.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program.
  • Licensed as RN and APRN in the State of Connecticut.
  • Certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
  • ACLS certification, DEA registration, and CT Controlled Substance registration.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift 25 pounds, and use lead protection as required for fluoroscopy/X‑ray cases.
  • Capacity to negotiate patient care environments and move patients between anesthesia locations.
Additional Requirements

CRNAs, APRNs, PAs, and CNMs must be appointed and credentialed through the Medical Staff process of a YNHHS hospital.
