Mitchell County Regional Health Center is located in Osage, Iowa, in Mitchell County, which has a population of 10,600 people. MCRHC is a 25‑bed critical access hospital that includes a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,700 visits annually. The Surgical Services department performs over 1,800 procedures annually, including General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, and Podiatry. Founded more than 75 years ago as a community hospital, today we operate three clinics, a 24/7 emergency service, and inpatient and outpatient medical/surgical services. the Job
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is directly responsible for the administration of anesthesia to surgical patients, including pre‑operative evaluations and the selection of appropriate anesthetics. The CRNA ensures proper administration of anesthetics, monitors patients throughout the course of surgery, and follows patients postoperatively. The CRNA collaborates effectively with surgeons, medical staff, surgical staff, and administration.
Schedule & CompensationShift: 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, no call, weekends or holidays. Pay:

- Education:
Graduate from an approved school of nursing and hold a current state licensure as a registered nurse. - Graduate from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council of Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
- Have successfully completed the certification examination administered by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or its predecessor.
- Must show proof of current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse, and active practice as a CRNA with appropriate continuing education to maintain licensure.
- Must comply with state requirements regulating the advanced practice of nursing.
- DEA Registration and Iowa Controlled Substances Certificate.
- Active member of AANA preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years experience in a rural hospital setting preferred.
- ACLS, BLS, PALS.
- Demonstrates leadership qualities and possesses good interpersonal and communication skills.
