This position is eligible for a $3,000 recruitment bonus.

Note:

Current state employees are not eligible for recruitment payments upon transfer, demotion, or promotion to another agency. Registered Nurse duties in a correctional facility perform a professional nursing role similar to outpatient services in the community. Registered nurses participate in the management of the nursing care of patients within a health care environment; provide clinical leadership and assist practitioners; plans and conducts educational sessions, including teaching that requires a registered nursing license;

administers medication, triage patient complaints and coordinates the care of residents in a correctional environment with a multi-disciplinary team which includes physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, optometrists & dentists. Within the required timeframe, new hires will be verified through the E-Verify system to ensure authorization to work in the United States.

Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa by the Iowa Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact Administrator's Agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
