- Hours:
7 pm‑7 am & 7 am‑7 pm; 72 hrs/2 weeks;
Every 3rd weekend/holiday - Student Loan Repayment:
Eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program – up to $10,000, with an extra $167 monthly from Avera to help pay down the principal balance faster. - LPN pay scale: $24.50, $29.13, $33.75
- RN pay scale: $32.50, $40.50, $48.50
Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends to understand patient conditions, medications, and self‑care skills; noting changing conditions and needs; and re‑evaluating care objectives.
What You Will Do- Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions; communicating the nursing care plan and all pertinent information to the health‑care team; coordinating with other healthcare providers; and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support.
- Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories; examining patients; documenting patient physical condition, psychological status, and influencing social factors; conferring with family; and establishing nursing diagnoses, objectives, and interventions.
- Teach healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals; instructing patients, families, and friends to understand condition, medications, and self‑care skills; answering questions; and providing information and resources.
- Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes; reviewing records; noting changes; re‑evaluating objectives; and modifying the nursing care plan.
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment by adhering to infection‑control policies, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations; and by alerting others regarding potential concerns.
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Keep patient care equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
- Keep patient care supplies ready by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and stocking items.
- Maintain competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership.

RequiredEducation, License/Certification, or Work Experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing; an active license in the state of practice upon hire.
- 1‑3 years of experience working in a clinical environment.
