Guttenberg Municipal Hospital & Clinics (GMHC) is seeking a Full-Time Emergency Room/Med-Surg Registered Nurse to join our dedicated and compassionate night-shift team.
Whether you are a recent graduate or an experienced RN
, this position offers an excellent opportunity to build and expand your nursing skills in a supportive, collaborative environment. You will work alongside experienced nurses and healthcare professionals while caring for a diverse patient population in both the Emergency Room and Med-Surg setting. New nurses will benefit from mentorship, hands-on experience, and opportunities for continued professional growth.
This is a full-time night-shift position with rotating weekend and holiday coverage, including every 12th weekend
.
This position is eligible for GMHC's Jump Start Program
, providing financial support to qualifying nursing students as they complete their education and prepare to begin their careers at GMHC.

- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program
- Current RN license with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for Iowa licensure
- Strong communication, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively educate patients and families and communicate patient observations and changes in condition to healthcare providers
- Ability to accurately document patient information and carry out provider orders
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
