Supervisor/Charge Nurse - Med Surg and ER
This is a 13-week contract position.
12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, 36 hours a week, with a preferred block schedule of 6 on and 8 off.
The Supervisor/Charge Nurse for Med Surg and ER is a working supervisor who will play a vital role in overseeing nursing staff and ensuring quality patient care in both the medical-surgical and emergency settings. This nurse will actively participate in patient care while leading the nursing team.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise nursing staff and manage daily operations within the Med Surg and ER departments.
- Provide direct patient care as needed in both the Med Surg and ER settings.
- Ensure the implementation of nursing policies and procedures to enhance patient safety and care quality.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans based on individual patient needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
- OB/Newborn Stabilization education/training is a plus.
