• The Staff RN or License Practical Nurse is a member of the health care team.

• The staff nurse (RN or LPN) assists with planning, organizing, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating the nursing care of the patients.

f2. He/She delivers care in accordance with the care modality of the assignment. (Total Pt. Care Nurse, ER/Float Nurse)

• The staff nurse (RN or LPN) demonstrates sound clinical judgment in assessing and observing pts., interpreting signs and symptoms, and in initiating action and intervention.
• He/She is skilled, organized and efficient in performing required nursing activities

• Current Iowa licensure as an RN or LPN.
• Graduated from a state approved nursing program as an ADN, Diploma, or BSN degreed RN or as a LPN.
• Maintains current ACLS/PALS/BCLS certification for RN
• For LPN:
  Maintains current BCLS certification.
• Expanded IV Therapy Course for the LPN-optional
