Surgical Registered Nurse

Full Time - 72 hours per pay period

Kossuth Regional Health Center is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Registered Nurse to join our dedicated surgical team. This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment that values teamwork, professionalism, and high-quality surgical care.

• Assist in surgical procedures as a scrub and circulating nurse
• Maintain a sterile field and follow OR protocols
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments and supplies—perform and verify sponge, needle, and instrument counts
• Assess & respond to patient needs—both physical & psychosocial—before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Implement individualized care plans in accordance with hospital policies, Physician directives, and patient/family preferences
• Maintain accurate & timely documentation using electronic health records
• Participate in on-call rotation and team-based care

• Licensure:
  Current RN license in the state of Iowa
• Experience:
  
  2+ years surgical or scrub experience preferred
• Certifications:
  
  BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and Mandatory Reporting
• Skills:
  
  Strong communication & teamwork skills
• Competency:
  
  Ability to provide age-appropriate care in the operating room setting

Selected applicant will be required to complete a drug test, immunizations, vaccinations, background check and other health tests.
