Lineville Health & Rehabilitation is seeking an RN Wound Care / Treatment Nurse to help lead our wound prevention, treatment, and skin-integrity efforts.

We're interviewing now!

The RN Wound Care / Treatment Nurse coordinates and provides wound and skin care while collaborating with nursing leadership, physicians, frontline staff, and the interdisciplinary team.

You'll play an important role in prevention, assessment, treatment, documentation, staff education, and monitoring of skin and wound conditions throughout the facility.

• Perform comprehensive skin and wound assessments
• Provide wound treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
• Monitor wounds and document healing progress
• Conduct routine skin and wound rounds
• Identify residents at risk for skin breakdown and implement preventive interventions
• Monitor turning, repositioning, pressure relief, and other prevention measures
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members regarding treatment plans
• Participate in care planning related to wounds and skin integrity
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Monitor wound care supplies and treatment needs
• Educate nurses and CNAs regarding skin integrity, prevention, and wound care practices
• Serve as a clinical resource for wound and treatment questions
• Participate in quality improvement, infection prevention, and regulatory readiness related to wound care

• Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members
• Long-term care, rehabilitation, acute-care, or geriatric nursing experience preferred
• Previous wound care or treatment nursing experience preferred
