POSITION: (2) Seasonal Park Tech., Cherokee County Conservation Board, Cherokee, Iowa.
EMPLOYMENT PERIOD

Flexible:
May– September. 40 hours per week, Mon.
- Fri., 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. with occasional weekend duties possible.
SALARY: $15.00 - $16.00 per hourwith no benefits, uniform shirts provided.
DESCRIPTION
:
Will assist with all aspects of development of county wildlife areas, parks, trails and campgrounds.
This will include but is not limited to; routine area and facility maintenance(mowing, trash removal, restroom cleaning), management of upland habitats and nesting boxes, tree and shrub removal, and river access area maintenance. Helps maintain detailed daily activity records. Includes the operation and maintenance of all agency equipment (mowers, tractor, trucks, trimmers, tools). May assist with educational programming and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum:
Must beat least 18 years of age and have a valid Driver’s License. Prefer education, experience, or interest innatural resource management, wildlife biology, ecology, forestry, agricultureor related field of study.
REQUIREMENTS
:
Ability to routinely stand, walk, sit, kneel, stoop, balance, climb and operate all handand power tools for extended periods of time. Ability to routinely lift up to 50lbs.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Ability to work outdoors inextreme hot, cold, rainy and windy weather conditions and be exposed to dust,fumes, smoke, and loud noises.
Pre-employment physical is required.
