Licensed Veterinary Technician

Position

Licensed Veterinary Technician (Full-time, LVT) – Mauer Animal Clinic, Las Vegas, Nevada.

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Safely handle and restrain animals, administer medications and vaccines.
• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
• Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia.
• Perform radiographs, collect lab samples, run in‑house tests, and administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Occasionally assist in exam rooms with DVM and monitor hospitalized patients.

• 1–3+ years of prior Clinical Veterinary Technician experience.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
• Degree from an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
• Skills with blood draws, placing IV catheters, digital radiology positioning, dentistry, anesthesia, and laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology, HM5, Vetscan, and Sedivue preferred.

Pay Range: $27 – $30 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.
