We are seeking a Dog Bather to join our team! As a Dog Bather, you will be responsible for providing quality bathing and basic grooming services to the dogs in our care. You will help ensure each dog is clean, comfortable, and well cared for while maintaining a safe and sanitary grooming environment.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and breeds, has a gentle and patient approach to handling animals, can work on their feet for extended periods of time, and works well as part of a team.

• Bathe and thoroughly rinse dogs according to their individual needs and grooming instructions
• Use appropriate shampoos, conditioners, and bathing products based on each dog's coat and skin needs
• Properly dry dogs using appropriate grooming equipment and techniques
• Brush and de-shed dogs as needed
• Perform basic bathing services, including nail trims, ear cleaning, and other approved basic grooming tasks
• Safely handle and restrain dogs during bathing and drying while prioritizing their comfort and safety
• Monitor dogs for signs of stress, anxiety, discomfort, or unusual behavior and communicate concerns to management
• Clean and sanitize bathing areas, kennels, tubs, tables, tools, and equipment throughout the shift
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe grooming environment
• Follow all K-9 Kountry safety, sanitation, handling, and grooming procedures
• Provide a positive and comfortable experience for every dog
• Maintain proper records of services provided and any concerns noted during the dog's visit
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding each dog's grooming needs and behavior
• Assist the grooming team with other duties as needed

• Must be comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and breeds
• Previous dog bathing or grooming experience preferred but not required
• Must have a gentle, patient, and confident approach to handling dogs
• Must be comfortable working on your feet for long periods of time
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to safely handle dogs during bathing, drying, and basic grooming services
• Familiarity with basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office, is a plus
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and willing to learn
• Must be willing to follow K-9 Kountry's dress code and workplace policies
