Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service.

• Fill and help process prescriptions.
• Provide prompt and efficient service.
• Assist with inventory control, maintain inventory levels by ordering and stocking merchandise, checking invoices, and entering inventory information into the computer.
• Work with co‑workers as a team to ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures and facility policies.
• Prepare prescriptions.
• Report any medication errors to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare and affix labels to prescription containers.
• Assist in training employees.
• Assist with monthly inventory.
• Follow security and regulatory procedures including Quality Assurance Programs.
• Maintain cleanliness of pharmacy and dispensing area.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Adhere to company policies.
• Report to work when scheduled and on time.
• Assists in other areas of the store as needed.
• Perform other job‑related duties and special projects as required.

Six months or less of similar or related work experience. Enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy and registered with the State Pharmacy Board as an intern.

• Logical and scientific thinking to solve problems involving several abstract and concrete variables.
• Compose original correspondence; follow technical manuals; evaluate technical data.
• Communicate with people; interview counsel or advise people.
• Perform arithmetic calculations involving arithmetic, algebraic, and geometric calculations.
• Physically exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, and negligible force constantly to move objects.
• Visual requirements: clarity of vision at distances of over 20 inches and less than 20 feet, and field of vision.
• Required physical activities: fingering, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, lifting, stooping, and reaching.

Frequent exposure to noise on a daily basis. Fast work pace in a retail store setting. Must handle multiple tasks (filling scripts, answering telephone, waiting on customers, etc.) every day. Occasional exposure to dangerous chemicals/solvents.

• PC with pharmacy software and printer, Parata Express, Gladiator Hand‑held unit, pharmacy balance, scanner, calculator, telephone, fax, and copier.

Fully responsible for company assets including prescription inventory, third‑party accounts receivable, pharmacy computer and software, and pharmacy fixtures.

Daily contact with pharmacy operations support staff and customers. Occasional contact with general public, suppliers/vendors, community or trade/professional organizations, and federal/state governmental or regulatory agencies.

Maintain confidentiality of the customer’s private medical information according to the HIPAA act. Maintain confidentiality of prescription drug pricing and costs.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen.
