Inspection Manager
Responsibilities- Oversee incoming, in-process, first article, and final inspection activities to ensure compliance with customer, engineering, and quality requirements.
- Manage inspection workflows, priorities, and department performance to support production schedules and on‑time delivery.
- Own key quality metrics, including first‑pass yield, inspection cycle time, and non‑conformance rates, while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and non‑conformance disposition activities in partnership with Production and Quality teams.
- Manage the calibration and measurement equipment program, ensuring all inspection tools remain accurate, compliant, and properly maintained.
- Support AS9100 audits, customer source inspections, and regulatory reviews while maintaining inspection procedures, documentation, and quality records.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality leadership to ensure the highest standards of product quality and customer satisfaction.
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Inspection, or Manufacturing Quality.
- 3+ years of leadership or management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of precision machining, blueprint interpretation, and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with AS9100 quality systems and aerospace manufacturing requirements.
- Proficiency using inspection and metrology equipment including CMMs, height gages, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Experience leading corrective actions, root cause analysis, and non‑conformance investigations.
This salary range for this position falls between $60,000 - $80,000 per year depending on experience. A sign‑on bonus is available.
