Job Summary
This position oversees compliance to the policies, procedures, and work instructions contained in the quality management system. It is also responsible for exercising the disposition of material placed in the "Material Review Bay" and serves as a resource and trainer for plant personnel on quality system documents and record‑keeping duties to demonstrate compliance with system requirements.
Quality Assurance Representative – (Metals)Location: Northwood, OH
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay: $21.63 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) to support 1st‑shift operations in a fast‑paced metals environment. The ideal candidate will have prior quality experience, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide oversight of document and data control within the plant
- Own and maintain measurement and gaging systems
- Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure timely follow‑up
- Oversee quality records maintained in the plant
- Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with established procedures
- Implement statistical process control (SPC) for equipment and processes
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of non‑conforming material
- Serve as a trainer for Quality Department documentation (not responsible for all plant training)
- Maintain accurate records for:
- Gages and calibration
- Non‑conforming material
- Inspection forms
- Stamp logs
- Collaborate closely with Plant Supervisors and Management
- Meet all TKMNA Employee Attributes and Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
, particularly within a Quality Management System - Understanding of core quality tools and problem‑solving methods
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience working in a fast‑paced plant or warehouse environment
- Comfortable with short task completion timelines and shifting priorities
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce
- Willingness and desire to pursue additional quality training as needed
- Experience in Rod, Bar, or Wire manufacturing environments
- ASQ Certification
- 3+ years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience
- Experience or training in ISO 9001:2015 and/or AS9100 quality standards
