Summary:
As a Quality Control Technician Trainee, you ensure all incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products meet required quality standards - both inside the shop and outside, as a final step. Working closely with production, you perform inspections, maintain accurate documentation, and help teams follow quality processes that directly impact product integrity, safety, and customer satisfaction. These are 3rd-shift positions with a work schedule of Friday to Sunday 5:00 am to 5:30 pm.
The hourly pay rate for this role is $22.51.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection and testing of raw materials, purchased goods, and products throughout production using defined procedures and control plans
- Maintain and support inspection procedures, quality standards, and testing schedules
- Review, complete, and archive product documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Identify and remove non-conforming products and support rework or containment actions
- Report quality issues, participate in root cause analysis, and support Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) processes
- Support audits, ensure compliance with specifications, and communicate quality information across teams
- Maintain quality records, documentation, and reporting for internal teams and customers
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, data collection, and Lean/SMS activities
- Mentor production team members on inspection methods and documentation standards
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- 6 months of relevant manufacturing or quality control experience - but willing to train in the role
- Experience using measuring devices and calibration equipment
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail for inspection, testing, and data entry
- Ability to follow procedures, analyze quality issues, and support problem-solving activities
