Food Service Worker

Job Description

The Nevada Community School District is looking TWO Food Service General Workers to join our team at NCSD! This position begins as soon as possible with hours from 7am-2pm Monday through Friday. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cooking, preparing and the serving of daily meals from the planned menu
• Assist with cleaning and following food safety procedures
• Ability to assist in filling out proper production records and food safety logs
• Maintain compliance with federal regulations regarding all School Lunch Programs
• Interact with all personnel, students, building patrons, federal/state inspectors, vendors and delivery persons with a positive can do attitude.
• Ability to operate all kitchen equipment
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs and stand on your feet for long periods of time
• Check in students at meal service on POS system
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education / Experience

• High school diploma / GED
• Food service experience preferred
• Serv Safe Certification
  - Recommended, but District will provide paid training to obtain after 6 months of service.
