Reporting RelationsAccountable and reports to:
District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home and Service Managers. Positions that report to you:

- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service, exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions.
- Greet customers in a friendly manner and address them by name whenever possible.
- Assist customers by escorting them to the products they’re looking for, securing products that are out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, noting and passing along customer suggestions or requests, and performing other tasks that enhance the shopping experience.
- Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who call.
- Work with co‑workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
- Package purchases and assist customers in transporting purchases to their mode of transportation.
- Help train new courtesy clerks.
- Check prices on products, pull products forward onto shelves, bring carts in from parking lot and cart corral.
- Clean areas such as the redemption area, recycle bins, registers, restrooms, break room, back room, floor (sweeping and mopping).
- Stock, face, rotate merchandise, clean shelves, understand shelf tags, and know the location of merchandise in the store and back room.
- Maintain supplies on front‑end (paper/plastic sacks, receipt paper, etc.).
- Maintain strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
- Adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines, reporting to work when scheduled and on time.
- Assist in all departments as requested (within wage and hour guidelines).
- Deliver product to customers (within wage and hour guidelines).
- Shovel, salt, and sand walkways.
- Assist in other areas of store as needed.
- Perform other job related duties and special projects as required.
- Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions; deal with concrete variables.
- Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction; copy figures, count and record.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information and request supplies orally or in writing.
- Increased contact with people.
No education or experience requirements.
Physical RequirementsPhysically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; up to 20 pounds of force frequently; and up to 10 pounds of force constantly for moving objects. Must climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear and perform repetitive motions. Visual requirements: vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.

Exposed to noise, temperature extremes, dampness, dirt, and chemicals/solvents.
Equipment Used to Perform JobTomra bottle machines, window washing equipment, vacuum cleaner, power washer, brooms, delivery vehicle, phone, fax, copier, two‑wheeler, pallet jack, box cutter (within wage and hour guidelines).
