Job Purpose
Delivering and merchandising product, which includes placing orders, stocking shelves, rotating shelved product, setting up displays, cooler stocking/rotation, storage room organization, and movement of product from storage to the sales floor. The job also requires the ability to use a handheld device to order product and run invoices.
Responsibilities- Drive and maneuver a truck with a gross vehicle weight of under 26,000 pounds.
- Operate a company car or pickup.
- Fill and merchandise all coolers, displays, racks, shelves, and/or vendors in accordance with PBV standards.
- Deliver and place orders, run invoices in accounts, and create and utilize point of sale signage.
- Sell and execute all promotions.
- Service all customers as scheduled.
- Verify all cases and monies are correct at the end of the day and that invoices are signed by customers.
- Communicate with customers and co‑workers.
- Follow company rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business channel.
- High school diploma or GED highly preferred; three to five years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
- Positive attitude, detail‑oriented, and able to perform basic financial calculations.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor for extended periods, walk, stand, lift up to 85 pounds, and push/pull 300‑2400 pounds with a pallet jack.
- Work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment; be a self‑starter with excellent follow‑up skills.
- Work in a team environment and meet PBV driving qualifications.
- Availability to work the hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
- Speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
- Repetitive job requiring frequent mental or visual effort or alertness.
- Constantly (34%–66%) required to walk or stand and occasionally lift or push heavy items.
- Vehicle, hand truck, store floats, pallet jacks, label gun, telephone, calculator, point of purchase materials, computer reports, cardboard balers, various types of vending equipment, and general office equipment.
