Sales Trainee - Non-DOT

Job Purpose

Delivering and merchandising product, which includes placing orders, stocking shelves, rotating shelved product, setting up displays, cooler stocking/rotation, storage room organization, and movement of product from storage to the sales floor. The job also requires the ability to use a handheld device to order product and run invoices.

• Drive and maneuver a truck with a gross vehicle weight of under 26,000 pounds.
• Operate a company car or pickup.
• Fill and merchandise all coolers, displays, racks, shelves, and/or vendors in accordance with PBV standards.
• Deliver and place orders, run invoices in accounts, and create and utilize point of sale signage.
• Sell and execute all promotions.
• Service all customers as scheduled.
• Verify all cases and monies are correct at the end of the day and that invoices are signed by customers.
• Communicate with customers and co‑workers.
• Follow company rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business channel.

• High school diploma or GED highly preferred; three to five years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Positive attitude, detail‑oriented, and able to perform basic financial calculations.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor for extended periods, walk, stand, lift up to 85 pounds, and push/pull 300‑2400 pounds with a pallet jack.
• Work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment; be a self‑starter with excellent follow‑up skills.
• Work in a team environment and meet PBV driving qualifications.
• Availability to work the hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
• Speak, read, write, and comprehend English.

• Repetitive job requiring frequent mental or visual effort or alertness.
• Constantly (34%–66%) required to walk or stand and occasionally lift or push heavy items.

• Vehicle, hand truck, store floats, pallet jacks, label gun, telephone, calculator, point of purchase materials, computer reports, cardboard balers, various types of vending equipment, and general office equipment.

Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
