Job Summary

General Merchandise Clerk – entry‑level position at Meijer Gas Station in Kentwood, MI. Responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude while performing a variety of retail tasks.

• Build rapport with customers and maintain a friendly, outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
• Help customers with questions; direct them to other team members when necessary.
• Stock product and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
• Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks.
• Work in departments such as Health & Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card & Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral.

• Detail‑oriented and organized.
• Strong listening and communication skills, face‑to‑face and virtually.
• Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job‑specific technology.
• Problem‑solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot.

• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product; stand for long periods.
