Hy-Vee - 8th 8th Street Southeast - Responsibilities:
Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and going out of your way to make every visit a great one;
Operate the cash register accurately, scanning product and processing all payment types including cash, checks, credit cards, coupons, food stamps, WIC checks, rain checks, in-store charges, and lottery transactions;
Unload product, open containers, stock shelves, and rotate product to ensure freshness and proper presentation;
Stock, face, and rotate merchandise, clean shelves, understand shelf tags, and take customers to items when requested;
Stay knowledgeable of item look-up numbers, department numbers, item features, and weekly ad price changes and sale items
