• Engage with team members in the span of care to ensure they receive appropriate onboarding, training, development, coaching, and feedback.
• Identify talent and engage in career discussions to support overall store staffing and maintain a diversified talent pipeline strategy for both team members and leadership roles.
• Lead candid discussions with team members to uphold Meijer standards and support their growth within the organization.
• Be accountable for area operations and financial results by overseeing execution of corporate plans, maximizing sales and productivity, and owning budget line items in the P&L.
• Drive safety and compliance throughout the store, manage overall store condition, and ensure adherence to all compliance procedures.
• Ensure Team Leaders and Leads provide guidance and assign daily work assignments and training needs to team members.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Passion for providing industry‑leading service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and precisely with team members.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make informed decisions.
