Store Manager, Retail & Store Manager

Role Overview

Responsible for managing all store operations, including staffing, training, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service.

• Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and retain store employees, ensuring proper staffing and compliance with labor laws.
• Lead performance management, conduct evaluations, and address employee development or disciplinary actions.
• Oversee daily store opening and closing, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety and security protocols.
• Analyze sales and financial data to identify trends, optimize expenses, and control shrinkage.
• Manage inventory levels through ordering, cycle counts, and merchandise presentation according to company standards.
• Ensure accurate cash handling, security practices, and store cleanliness to promote a safe shopping environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a well-organized, safe store environment.
• Follow company policies, complete required documentation, and support team development.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and cash handling procedures.
• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math calculations.
• Management experience in retail preferred; high school diploma or equivalent recommended.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred depending on location.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 40-55 pounds, and occasional climbing. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, occasionally outdoors, and driving as needed.
