Marina Pro Shop Manager Intern- PAID OVERVIEW:

The Marina Pro Shop Manager Intern position is responsible for maintaining knowledge and awareness of manufacturer products/programs and communicate to coworkers and customers, implement programs to increase traffic and sales and enforce concepts that lead to repeat customers, motivate staff to promote growth of seasonal staff, and initiate housekeeping/safety procedures that result in a safe and attractive work environment. The Marina Pro Shop Manager Intern must be professional, maintain a positive attitude, and uphold Mau Marine's mission.

Mau Marine will make absolutely every aspect of the boating experience easy and enjoyable for our customers. We will do this through an expert team of marine professionals dedicated to setting the standard for excellence in customer satisfaction.

Marina Pro Shop Manager

The following responsibilities will be expected for this position:

• Ensure profitability of the Ship's Store through the sale, marketing, and merchandising of inventory
• Implement programs to increase traffic and sales and enforce concepts that lead to repeat customers
• Maintain knowledge and awareness of manufacturer products/programs and communicate to coworkers and customers
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments
• Initiate housekeeping, safety and security procedures that result in a safe and attractive work environment
• Develop, train, and motivate staff to promote growth of seasonal staff
• Maintain professional attire according to dealership policy
• Set the tone for a positive and upbeat work environment
• Develop and execute retail processes to support elevated customer experiences
• Create product and service inventory mix to satisfy customer demands
• Create exciting merchandising of products and services to promote customer loyalty
• Work Mau Marine special events as needed
• Other duties as presented by management

Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

• A genuine passion for boating and a keen interest in the marine industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with a diverse team and contribute positively to the service department
  
  Capability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude
• Must be at least 18 years old with a clean driving record, meeting legal requirements for operating vehicles

Duration:
May 2027 through August 2027

• Hands-on training and mentorship under experienced Pro Shop Manager and industry professionals
• Exposure to various aspects of boat dealership and marina operations
• Potential for future career growth within the organization
• Employer-sponsored housing is offered, space permitting
