Responsibilities

  • Greet, interact, entertain and serve guests courteously and in a timely manner with an upbeat attitude.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond to all inquiries, requests, directions and information in a courteous and polite manner.
  • Provide strong knowledge of portion control and product identification, answering questions about food, beverages, specials, menu changes and venue information.
  • Recognize and cultivate regular guests and repeat business.
  • Maintain line of sight and atmosphere control by circulating through the work area throughout the shift.
  • Report incidents of theft, vandalism, violations and any security concerns.
  • Respond to guest concerns/complaints regarding service or beverages, correct errors or resolve complaints with a positive attitude.
  • Maintain highest standards of safety, security, guest service, cost control and consistency in accordance with company expectations.
  • Hire, train, coach, counsel and evaluate all new team members.
  • Develop the management team’s skills in accordance with succession planning goals.
  • Operate with an open‑door policy, listening to team requests and providing appropriate actions and accurate information.
  • Interact with all department personnel as needed.
  • Ensure team members are suitably dressed and groomed before work.
  • Prevent losses and injuries to employees, third parties or customer valuables; report all incidents, claims and losses.
  • Execute emergency situations and risk mitigation policies and procedures.
  • Enforce fire & safety requirements under OSHA, local building and fire authorities, and keep managers informed of changes in law.
  • Facilitate and monitor all investigations, including external apprehensions, unsafe acts or conditions, interviews and case reporting.
  • Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities related to Safety & Loss Prevention through audits.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions.
  • Coordinate special audits, tests and inspections as directed.
  • Introduce appropriate strategies to bring internal investigations to successful conclusion.
  • Monitor controls to identify employee theft, utilizing POS exception reporting tools and loss prevention resources.
  • Recommend and administer security functions, policies and procedures, creating a safe culture.
  • Develop, monitor, and enforce security policies, processes and procedures.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate property security personnel.
  • Ensure department compliance with gaming and property policies.
  • Schedule labor force and assign work for efficient use of equipment and personnel.
  • Maintain working relationships with local, municipal and government law enforcement agencies and insurance carriers.
  • Demonstrate well‑organized and strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Recognize and acknowledge intoxicated or disruptive guests, bring them to management attention, and refuse further alcohol service in a courteous manner.
  • Comply with safety and health department procedures and all state and federal liquor laws.
  • Check guest identification and enforce responsible vending guidelines.
  • Obtain and maintain position‑specific licensing.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job‑related operational tasks and company documents.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least five years of previous experience as security in a high‑volume restaurant, nightclub, day club, entertainment venue or similar field.
  • At least three years of previous experience in security management in a high‑volume setting.
  • Safe alcohol service, sanitation and safety protocol experience.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, beer and mixed cocktails.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Effective communication in English.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Successful mentoring of a team.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Preferred:
    Previous experience working in a day club or nightclub.
  • Preferred:
    Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
