- Oversee security operations at the Tampa cultivation and manufacturing facility to ensure the safety of employees, visitors, and company assets.
- Maintain compliance with applicable security regulations and company policies.
- Investigate security incidents, accidents, thefts, property loss, and other reported concerns; review and respond to all security incident reports.
- Maintain communication with contracted security providers and the off-site alarm monitoring company.
- Serve as the primary emergency contact for facility alarms and determine when law enforcement should be dispatched.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
- Ensure employees follow all security policies and procedures; supervise security personnel.
- Review and recommend updates to security-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Coordinate with contracted security company through monthly meetings to review performance and address concerns.
- Maintain facility access control and company identification badge permissions; manage access for employees, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Monitor surveillance systems and ensure cameras are functioning properly; conduct daily inspections of facility cameras, offices, cultivation areas, greenhouses, and perimeter security.
- Support incident response and reporting, and participate in security-related training and exercises.
- Perform additional security-related duties as assigned.
- Monday – Thursday
- 6:30 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.
- Friday – Sunday
- 6:30 a.m. – 7:15 p.m.
- Minimum of three (3) years of security operations experience.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, surveillance systems, and safety practices.
- Ability to make sound independent decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and security-related software.
- Working knowledge of data processing technologies.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and trustworthiness.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated discretion when handling confidential information.
This position supervises the Security Department and provides leadership to the site's security personnel.
This position operates within cultivation, manufacturing, and office environments. The role regularly uses security systems, surveillance equipment, computers, telephones, copiers, and other standard office equipment.
Physical RequirementsTo successfully perform the essential functions of this role, employees must be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Use hands and arms to operate equipment and perform inspections.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

TravelPrimarily local travel may be required during normal business hours. Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
Education & ExperienceRequired
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Criminology, or a related field.
- Must be at least 21 years of age, as required by state law.
- Must successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
