Ag Technician – New Hampton Branch
Ziegler Ag Equipment is hiring an Ag Technician to work on the full line of agricultural equipment from planting through harvest. The role requires diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining ag equipment, completing work orders, and participating in ongoing training.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair agricultural equipment including application, tillage, planting, and harvest machinery.
- Document work orders in a complete and timely manner to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Work safely at all times, following company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot repairs.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance mechanical skills and product knowledge.
- 2‑year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field; or high school diploma/GED with at least 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience.
- 2+ years of relevant ag diesel engine/equipment repair experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of repair across a variety of agricultural equipment; ag technology experience is a definite plus.
- Ability to write and communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and team members.
- Basic computer skills to document work orders and use online diagnostic systems.
- Own mechanic tool set and ability to maintain a safe, clean work environment.
- Pre‑employment drug test required; role is safety sensitive.
Physical Requirements
- Push/pull up to 50 lbs, lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
- Stand, walk, use hands, talk, hear, rotate neck and trunk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, kneel, squat, reach overhead, crawl, lift bulky objects, perform repetitive tasks.
- Work may be indoor and/or outdoor; noise level may be loud at times.
