Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Field/Service Technician, Installation Technician
Manatt's Field Mechanic works independently and as a team performing preventative inspections, maintenance and repairs issues on semi tractors, trailers, pickups & many other large heavy vehicles and equipment in the field. Has a basic understanding of logistical decision making for repairs i.e.: parts availability, shop space, and time management.
Troubleshoot and perform repairs on all types of heavy equipment including but not limited to: pavers, excavators, bulldozers, skid loaders, etc.
Knowledge and understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
The ability to work on equipment in the field under a variety of environmental conditions.
Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
Keep logs of work and report on issues.
QualificationsQualified applicants must possess and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of major truck components, diesel engine diagnostics, hydraulic and electrical systems, and preventative maintenance.
Class B CDL preferred - willing to help obtain after hired.
Must have own tools.
Must have acceptable driving record.
Strong communication, analytical and basic computer skills required.
Ability to use manufacturer's computer software to diagnose and repair electronic systems necessary.
Work some overtime on an as needed basis.
