Mix Plant Operator

Location: Prairie City

Summary:

Receives, stores, cares for, processes and distributes material, equipment, and products within the company by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Blends fertilizer and chemicals according to label and work order instructions ensuring the correct product is sent to the right field or customer.

Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product. Receives product to be sure quantity and quality are acceptable.

Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for items and distributes items to customer or applicators for distribution.

Maintains warehouse, location grounds and equipment to acceptable company standards.

Maintains company inventory to acceptable company standards.

Drives vehicle, loader or forklift to transport items to and from warehouse or to pick up items from several locations.

Maintains and records maintenance and housekeeping in appropriate logbooks.

Ensure equipment is operating properly, clean and promotes a positive image of Heartland Co-op.

Contributes to an efficient application process to achieve desired custom application results.

Assists in maintaining inventory records.

Must maintain a current commercial applicator’s license and 1A, 1B, 1C, or handler’s licenses.

Education/

Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or…
