Maintenance generalist Louisa County C shift

Job Overview

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

• Trend, maintain and repair all equipment and company assets.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair equipment used in production such as conveyor lines, trolley systems, rendering machinery, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform welding, basic electrical work, and work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach as required in all areas; work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment.

• MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK 3rd shift.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; one (1) year of on‑the‑job training.
• Must have at least one (1) year of experience and/or education in at least two of the following general maintenance areas: mechanical troubleshooting, electrical/electronic troubleshooting, hydraulic troubleshooting, PLC troubleshooting and navigation, welding/fabrication, AC/DC control wiring, motor control, 3‑phase wiring, plumbing, conveyor maintenance, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
• Must be available to work any department, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Must communicate well verbally and in writing with all levels of team members and government officials.
• Must read and understand manuals, execute and document work on scheduling sheets.
• Must complete computer‑based training modules and understand training manuals.
• Must lift up to 60+ pounds as necessary.
• Must work in confined space and at heights using ladders, lifts, and scaffolds as required.
• Must stay on track with training until level 7 is reached.
• Must perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
