Maintenance Electrician

Iowa Premium, a National Beef Company in Tama, Iowa, is looking for a qualified professional to join our Maintenance Team as a Maintenance Electrician. Hourly wage for this position starts at $25.50 per hour up to $35.50 per hour depending on experience.

Maintenance Electrician responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Trouble-shooting, repairing and replacing electrical components
• Dismantling and removing electrical cables and wiring
• Install new equipment
• Running of electrical conduit
• Understand and comply with all safety and electrical codes
• Other duties as assigned

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.

Qualified candidates for the Maintenance Electrician position should possess the following:

• Able to read blueprints
• Previous electrical experience – preferably in an industrial setting
• Able to drive a forklift or willing to undertake forklift training
• Able to work outside in all weather
• Able to lift up to 75-100 pounds
• Able to read and write
• Able to use basic mathematics
• Able to stand/walk on concrete/stairs for duration of shift
• Able to pass mechanical aptitude test
• Able to use ladders
• Able to use lift trucks (i.e. – Snorkel Lift / bucket lift)
• Able to use various hand tools and power tools
• Able to work with a group or unsupervised
• Ability to work various shifts and 'on-call' as needed

Requirements:

• Preferred Block Certified or Journeyman Electrician
• Use 2-way radios
• Wear task-specific Personal Protective Equipment
• Comply with all safe work practices and procedures
• Keep work areas clean and tidy at all times
