Summary
Performs inspections, testing and preventive maintenance of Air Handling Units, Rooftop Air Handlers, Exhaust Fans, Ice Machines, Refrigerators, Freezers and other equipment. Calibrates thermostat, humidistat and room pressure monitors. Ensures appropriate temperatures, humidity and room pressures are maintained. Performs repairs to patient room reheats utilizing the Building Automation System. Troubleshoots mechanical issues on AHU/RTU's such as damper, chilled and hot water actuators and makes repairs.
Utilizes the Computerized Management Maintenance System (CMMS) for corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Performs inspections, testing and preventive maintenance of HVACR and other equipment.
- Troubleshoots malfunctions; maintains and repairs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and associated equipment.
- Responds to trouble calls, work requests and emergency situations.
- Utilizes the CMMS work order system and documents time and work completed in a timely manner.
- Assists department colleagues of all trades.
- Ensures appropriate temperatures, humidity and room pressures are maintained.
- High School Diploma/GED with required year of experience or
- Technical School Diploma in HVAC
- 1 year Experience Industrial HVAC Technician
- Less than 1 year with Technical School Diploma in HVAC
- Ability to read Operation Manuals, mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of equipment operation, AHU mechanical/electrical components and repair practices
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
- Driver's License – State of Pennsylvania
- Associate’s Degree in HVAC
- 3 years Experience Industrial HVAC Technician
- EPA Refrigeration Certification – Environmental Protection Agency
Lift over 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 140 lbs. Carry 80 lbs. over short distances. Frequent standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing and reaching overhead.
