Electrical Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all electrical equipment related to the processing floor. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to read and comprehend instructions, and a commitment to safety and continuous learning.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical equipment, including electrical boxes, disconnects, electrical cabinets, and control cabinets.
- Clean and maintain electrical components to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Complete all job-related paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Understand and follow instructions received via radio, as well as written and verbal work orders.
- Perform safety-related work orders and maintain work areas in a showcase-ready condition.
- Meet training criteria within the allotted time frame and advance through maintenance levels.
- Must have the necessary communication skills and ability to understand instructions received via radio, written and verbal machine instructions, work orders, and to correctly complete all job-related paperwork.
- Must complete at least Level 4 maintenance training before working on the production floor, with continued advancement to Level 8 within one year of employment.
- Must complete monthly maintenance safety training.
- Minimum of 1 year industrial electrical maintenance work experience (documented in the work history section of the application).
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required; training beyond high school from a technical college or trade school preferred but not required.
- Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson have a 180-day waiting period and a 3-time employment limit for this location.
The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, push, pull, reach, lift, and climb stairs and ladders.
Work Location and ScheduleFixed shifts with designated days off. All shifts are in the United States of America.
