Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, TEC has 30+ locations across the United States. We offer a large inventory of new and used trucks, quality parts, collision centers, and more. Our locations are authorized service centers for Mack, Volvo, Cummins, Meridian, Eaton, and Fuller warranties.

This position is primarily responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks. We provide in‑house advanced training and cover travel costs for training attendance. We also offer a family‑oriented work environment.

• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to troubleshoot issues and repair vehicles to proper operating condition
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance services; identify worn and damaged parts and replace as needed
• Troubleshoot with diagnostic software (charging systems, brakes, suspensions, A/C system)
• Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs
• Meet shop quality and efficiency standards
• Maintain a safe and organized work area
• Follow state and federal vehicle requirements and company policies, procedures, and safety/EPA regulations
• Use all required safety equipment
• Participate in educational opportunities and stay current on technical and regulatory publications
• Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems

• Minimum 3–6 years of experience with commercial 6‑ and 8‑class trucks
• Capable of performing preventative maintenance such as oil & transmission changes, and replacing light body components and lights & sensors
• Proficient in repairing and diagnosing diesel engines, cab components, hydraulic systems, steering systems, and brakes
• Proficient in the use of all tools of trade
• Basic computer skills for inputting vehicle maintenance records and using diagnostic software
• Ability to provide detailed written analysis and input of the three C's (complaint, cause, correction)
• Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lb, climb, stoop, kneel, see, grasp, and hear as required
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Reliable attendance and safety awareness
• Valid driver’s license; CDL license preferred but not required
