Apprentice or Journeyman lineman

Overview

Responsibilities include but not limited to the performance of all skills and labor required in construction, operation and maintenance of Cooperative distribution lines; to locate and eliminate any trouble on the lines of the Cooperative; to work on lines either dead or energized at voltages up to the maximum voltage of the system; to perform similar and less skilled work as required to ensure effective service to Cooperative members;

and to carry an equitable share of the workload.

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Graduate of line school and able to successfully complete Eastern Iowa Light and Power Cooperative Apprentice Program or has completed a certified apprenticeship program
• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Must possess the necessary skills required to accomplish tasks assigned

• Class A Commercial Driver's License
• Graduate of Line School
• High School Graduate or Equivalent
