Responsibilities
- Assemble and install electrical components in wind turbine nacelles and hubs
- Route and secure wiring harnesses, connectors, and control systems
- Use testing equipment to verify electrical continuity and system functionality
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area to prevent work related injuries
- Exceed our production benchmarks by completing specific tasks within the designated timeframe, playing a key role in the collective success of our team objectives
- Handle materials by lifting, positioning, and/or removing them from the work area as needed
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve electrical assembly procedures
- Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support other production areas as needed and as assigned by the supervisor
- In coordination with PQA and Engineering Departments conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of potential electrical connectivity issues
- Assist mechanical assembly operators as required
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
- High school diploma or GED required
- Electrical certifications or technical training
- 3+ years of experience in electrical assembly or manufacturing
- Experience in wind turbines, industrial, or automotive electrical systems
- Ability to read work instructions
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience with overhead crane operation
- Ability to achieve and maintain crane operator certification (Required)
- Willingness to obtain relevant electrical safety certifications
- Familiarity with multimeters, crimping tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Must be able to pass a respiratory fit test (as Required)
- Working at heights
- Understanding of ISO 9000:2000 Quality System is a plus
Demonstrates expertise in electrical assembly and manufacturing, with a strong focus on safety protocols and quality standards. Proficient in reading electrical schematics and utilizing diagnostic tools to ensure system functionality and improve assembly procedures.
