Hours:
Monday-Thursday 6:00am-2:45pm and Fridays 6:00am-12:00pm
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical machinery and equipment as needed
- Ability to safely service and troubleshoot electrical components (110v-480v)
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, grounds, and facilities
- Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area
- Ensure repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities are performed in a neat, orderly, and timely manner
- Ensure equipment and company assets are operating in a safe manner, per manufacturer and other governing body guidelines
- Comply with all standard safety practices, safety guidelines, and all Company guidelines and policies
- Identify and communicate all issues and/or problems in a proactive manner
- Clean and assist with upkeep of the facilities, including seasonal grounds maintenance, painting, cleaning, and carpentry work
- Performs routine maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.
- Additional duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associates degree (AA) from two-year program or at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair
- Any relevant technical certifications are a plus
- Ability to use and safely operate hand tools, power tools, fork lifts, scissor lifts, etc.
- Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings)
- Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays, installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting)
- Ability to utilize schematics (e.g., electrical blueprints with switches, starts, maps, relays)
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a small team
- Punctuality and a positive attitude are mandatory
