Location: Nevada

We are seeking a Maintenance E&I Technician who is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical instrumentation systems within our manufacturing environment. This role requires expertise in both electrical and instrumentation work to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of machinery and equipment. The incumbent will be asked to perform routine maintenance on sophisticated equipment. The E&I Technician will work with the Maintenance Manager and Engineering to plan and schedule equipment downtime, along with documenting logs and machine failures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

High-level efficiency of hand tools, power tools, drill presses, grinders, etc.

Knowledge of safe working practices with rotating and high voltage machinery.

General understanding of OSHA requirements including lock-out/tag-out, confined spaces, SDS, etc.

Working knowledge of motor control circuits.

Understand local, state, and national electrical codes.

Ability to disassemble and assemble gearboxes and pumps.

Ability to identify and measure critical tolerances or dimensions.

Ability to know when gearboxes and pumps need alignment.

Ability to work cohesively with other team members, and to contribute positively to the work environment.

Experience:

Experience with extrusion or lamination machines or comparable manufacturing processes.

Experience with industrial process equipment and instrumentation.

Familiar with PLC ladder logic and editing.
5+ years on hands-on experience in electrical and instrumentation roles.

Strong understanding of electrical codes, PLCs, VFDs, and DCS systems.

Competence in the use of test instruments such as multimeters, calibrators, and loop testers.

Education and

Certifications:

Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.

HS diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.

Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and programming.

Familiarity with control systems, field instrumentation, and motor controls.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety conscious environment.

Physical Requirements:

Be on your feet for 10-12 hours

Able to lift 40 pounds unassisted.

Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks

Ability to work in hot and cold environments

Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts

Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts
