We are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Engine Shop Supervisor to lead our engine department and oversee the maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of heavy-duty diesel engines in Garner, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on leader with strong technical expertise and a commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess 5–10 years of diesel engine experience
, with a strong preference for individuals who have worked extensively with Caterpillar engines and generators
.
- Supervise and support a team of 10-15 diesel technicians, ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
- Coordinate workflow, assign jobs, and monitor shop productivity.
- Oversee engine diagnostics, repairs, overhauls, and complete rebuilds.
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to technicians when troubleshooting complex issues.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies, manufacturer specifications, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate repair documentation and utilize computerized maintenance and shop management systems.
- Work closely with parts and service personnel to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor quality control and ensure customer expectations are consistently met.
- 5–10 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Previous leadership, foreman, or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of heavy-duty diesel engines and engine rebuilding procedures.
- Caterpillar engine experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with engine diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with maintenance management software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
- Competitive salary rang between$70,000 – $93,000 annually plus bonus, salary rang will be based on experience level.

Shift:
