Precision Installs LLC is a leader in material handling optimization. We are looking for a Forklift Telemetry Installation Technician to join our field operations team. In this role, you will travel nationwide to customer sites to install, program, and troubleshoot advanced fleet management hardware, CAN-bus data loggers, and sensor systems on industrial forklifts and material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities- Hardware Installation:
Install, wire, and configure telemetry/telematics hardware and sensors onto various makes and models of forklifts and material handling equipment. - Diagnostics & Electrical:
Interface with vehicle CAN-bus systems and interpret low-voltage electrical schematics. - Testing & Calibration:
Calibrate, test, and troubleshoot cellular and Wi-Fi communication modules to ensure accurate data feeds to fleet management software. - Client Interaction:
Provide basic operational training to client on‑site managers regarding hardware function and usage. - Tool Maintenance:
Maintain your own set of standard technician hand tools and a digital multimeter required for deployments.
Technical Experience &
Skills:
- 2–4 years of experience in low‑voltage electrical installation, field service, or heavy equipment mechanics (Forklift, Automotive, GSE, or Military vehicle experience is a major plus).
- Proficiency using digital multimeters, wire crimping/soldering, and reading electrical schematics.
- Basic laptop literacy for device programming and troubleshooting.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Communication:
Exceptional communication skills across all mediums—verbal, written, phone, and email—required for interfacing with on‑site managers, client personnel, and internal teams. - Organization:
Exceptional organizational skills to manage personal tool sets, site equipment, hardware inventory, and travel logistics independently while in the field. - Job/Field Reports:
Must consistently complete and submit detailed daily job/field reports via computer/laptop. - Travel: 100% travel required (continuous regional and national road/air travel, including flying multiple times per week).
- Driver's License:
Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record. - Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work comfortably around active industrial environments. - Tools:
Must provide your own standard technician hand tool set and digital multimeter.
While not strictly required, top priority will be given to candidates holding any of the following:
- OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification
- MECP (Mobile Electronics Certified Professional) Certification
- LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) Safety Certification
